Carolina joined the group in May of 2015 and is currently a senior computational associate in the Cardiovascular Disease Initiative and the Precision Cardiology Lab of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Since 2018 she is also enrolled in a joint PhD program for Biomedical Science between the Broad Institute and the University Medical Center in Groningen. Prior to the Broad she gained experience analyzing electrocardiographic and cardiovascular traits in genome-wide association studies at the Institute of Genetic Epidemiology (Helmholtz Zentrum Munich). Her research focuses on investigating the genetic basis and changes in expression profile of heart disease, including atrial fibrillation and heart failure.
