Victor Nauffal, MD joined the Ellinor lab in 2020. His research is focused on examining the genetic basis of cardiac arrhythmias utilizing population-based genetic studies. He has a particular interest in atrial fibrillation and sudden cardiac death. Victor is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Genetic Epidemiology and Statistical Genetics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He graduated from medical school at the American University of Beirut in 2013 and moved to the United States to pursue a two-year postdoctoral fellowship as the Johns Hopkins Murex Postdoctoral Fellow where he focused on enhancing risk stratification for sudden cardiac death in patients with heart failure. He completed his internal medicine residency training at the Johns Hopkins Osler Housestaff Training Program and is currently a clinical cardiovascular medicine fellow at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
