Julie graduated from Cornell University in January 2015 and spent last spring at Cornell working in a plant biology lab studying epigenetics. As an undergrad, she studied Biology, Global Health, and Neuroscience, was a Cornell Tradition Fellow, and played for the Cornell Womens Rugby team. In her free time, she plays guitar and sings at local venues, explores restaurants in the area, plays recreational sports, and participates in lymphedema advocacy.

After two years in the lab, Julie is headed to medical school at Loyola.
