Martin is a Research Fellow currently studying novel genetic risk factors for coronary artery disease. Martin completed clinical training in Cardiology in China in 2010. He obtained his PhD in the lab of Dr. Charles Lowenstein at the University of Rochester, NY, researching on the regulation of endothelial exocytosis and thrombosis. Martin joined the Ellinor lab in July 2019 after postdoctoral training under Dr. Sekar Kathiresan. He was an HHMI “Med-into-Grad” Fellow in Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Rochester, and received a Predoctoral Fellowship by the American Heart Association. His recent work is supported by a Postdoctoral Fellowship by the American Heart Association.
