Matthew C. Hill is a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Patrick Ellinor in the in the Cardiovascular Disease Initiative at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He joined the Ellinor lab in 2020. He received his PhD degree in Developmental Biology at Baylor College of Medicine in the lab of Dr. James F. Martin. Matthew aims to further understand the causes of human cardiovascular disease by computational integration of large-scale human genetics data with single cell multi-omics datasets and functional genomics assays. Overall, his goal is to leverage the findings made from analyzing these datasets for the purpose of developing cell type-specific pro-regenerative, and anti-fibrotic therapeutic strategies for treating severe cardiovascular diseases, like heart failure.
