Min Seo is a postdoctoral research fellow. He completed MD from the College of Medicine at Korea University in 2020. After graduation, he extended his role as a computational scientist at Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences and Technology (SAIHST) and completed his MS in genomics and digital health in 2023. During this time, Min Seo’s work centered around the genetic epidemiology of cardiometabolic disease. In the Ellinor lab, Min Seo is focusing on developing genomic-informed risk models for cardiometabolic traits, and leveraging genetics and machine learning to better understand disease mechanisms. He is also keen on integrating genetic risk factors into global disease burden estimations and extending the utility of genetic data to inform public health. Min Seo is jointly mentored by Patrick T. Ellinor and Akl C. Fahed.
