Moritz earned his MD from Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich, Germany and a Doctoral Degree in Medicine from the Technische University of Munich. After a post-doctoral year at the Institute of Human Genetics at the Helmholtz Center Munich, he started his clinical training and is currently a fellow in Cardiology back in Munich. Moritz was a postdoctoral fellow in the Ellinor lab from 2010 to 2012 with a focus on the epidemiology and genetics of atrial fibrillation. During his time in the lab he completed an MPH in clinical effectiveness at Harvard School of Public.
