Saagar Mahida earned his medical degree in the United Kingdom in 2002 and completed his cardiology fellowship in 2010. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Ellinor lab from 2010 to 2012. His main projects were on identifying mutations underlying AF in families and in using animal models to investigate the roles of genetic variants in the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation.
Saagar is now a Consultant Cardiologist at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital
