Sean is a computational research affiliate in the Ellinor and Lubitz labs at the Broad Institute, and a final year medical student at the University of Amsterdam. His research has focused on large-scale sequencing analyses for common and rare arrhythmias. Sean earned his BSc at the University of Amsterdam in 2018 and is currently working towards both an MD and an MSc. Next year, Sean will commence a joint PhD program with Patrick Ellinor as co-supervisor, alongside Connie Bezzina from the Experimental Cardiology lab in Amsterdam. Sean aspires to improve societal health by becoming a physician-scientist who can translate fundamental scientific findings to clinical utility. Outside of the lab, and the clinic, he enjoys fitness, karate, and attending musical performances ranging from classical to house music.
