Vagner has 15+ years of research experience from basic science to clinical trials and has been recognized with several awards including the highly prestigious AHA Melvin L. Marcus Early Career Investigator Award. His main scientific interest is to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiac diseases and to translate this knowledge into innovative therapeutic strategies, with a special focus on RNAs. He has published 33 articles including high-impact journals such as Circulation and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) and has received over 1000 citations.
